LACED MAGAZINE 2005 - 2014

In 2014, Kwasi and I wanted to bring back our passion project, Laced Magazine. We originally brought this magazine to life as college students, back in 2006. With the support of a publishing company, we decided to relaunch Laced Magazine. Within 3 months, we gathered up the community we were inspired by and knocked out a 96 page magazine.
It featured A$AP Ferg, Teyana Taylor, Aleali May, Pro Era + more. Long story short, the company backed out of the deal and we ended up shelving the magazine.
For the past 6 years, this issue has lived in my computer in a folder titled "Laced Up." I revisited this folder containing our magazine and decided it was time to share it with you all digitally. To me, this magazine represents 6 years of nostalgia, but to you it may mean something completely new and different. I think it's necessary to look within the past as a reminder of where we were and where we are now. The goal has always been to put out art, no matter what and to stay consistent with this goal, I present to you Issue #5 of Laced Magazine. - Steven
